Downtown After Dark: Downtown Tampa’s Halloween Party Hop

If you are looking for haunted fun in downtown Tampa this Halloween, look no further than Downtown After Dark. From 10:00 pm October 26^th through 2:00 am on October 27^th, take your pick of five different spooky parties. The event is for guests 21 and over, with each party hosting custom cocktails, amazing DJs, and costume contests. Tickets range from $10 (early bird deal for a single party entrance ticket) to $39 (for the all access pass that gets you into all 5 parties). The parties are held at a wide variety of establishments that are all within walking distance of one another.

1. 90’s Parti

Hosted by the Gen X Taven on East Jackson St., the 90’s Parti guarantees throwback fun for everyone. Inspired by MTV and that neon windbreaker you secretly keep tucked in the back of your closet. The scariest thing at this party is when you realize people born in the year 2000 will be turning 20 in a few months.

2. Scooby Where R U? Blacklight Mystery Party

Look out for the “Scooby Shots” at Four Green Fields at Curtis Hixon Park. This blacklight party will be spinning Top 40s hits alongside House, EDM, and Hip-hop tracks.

3. Thriller: Dance Party of Gone Legends

This Thriller is hosted by Pokeys Rock & Roll Bar on East Madison Street. Look out for hits by David Bowie, Selena, Michael Jackson, and more. Don’t forget to watch out for the Thriller flash mob dance off by Bay Area Flash Mob.

4. Dia de los Muertos

If you want a more Latin flare to your Halloween, look no further than Dia de los Muertos. Hosted by Spain Restaurant & Toma Bar on Tampa Street, this party is played by DJ ECCA. Latin music including merengue, reggaeton, salsa, and bachata guarantee amazing dancing all night long.

5. Caribbean CarnEVIL

Last, but not least, is Caribbeam CarnEVIL. It is hosted by Jerk Hut on East Fowler. You may think you’re enjoying an average Carnival party, but watch out for the spirits in the shadows.
