Businesses and professionals are drawn to downtown Tampa for a variety of reasons. From development firms to financial advisers, downtown Tampa remains a prime destination for commercial activity. Downtown is also home to the both the County Circuit and Federal courthouses along with municipal administration services, making it a big draw for law firms and attorney practices.

What makes Tampa’s downtown especially attractive to businesses and professionals seeking short or long term office space is the area’s accessibility. Compared to other Tampa office markets, downtown Tampa is relatively compact and walk-able. Due to Suites@Madison’s central location, almost all coffee shops and restaurants are an easy 5 min. walk. Heavy foot traffic daily also makes downtown Tampa considerably more pedestrian-friendly than other office sub-markets. The addition of the Cass St. bike lane and one in the works for Jackson St. means its bike-friendly too. Additionally, the Downtowner offers free pick-up and drop-off services inside the downtown core.
Downtown Tampa is readily accessible from almost any direction. I-275 features two separate downtown exits (East and West) and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway cuts right through downtown, with several on/off-ramp locations. For those commuting from St. Petersburg, the new Cross Bay Ferry offers back-and-forth trips as an alternative to driving. Once in downtown Tampa, the TECO Streetcar connects most of the downtown core and Ybor City.
