This December, the cities of Tampa Bay and St. Pete are holding events for the holiday season to celebrate within the community while staying safe and socially distant. Check out some of the activities being offered below, and happy holidays!
Winter Village at Curtis Hixon
The Winter Village at the Curtis Hixon Park offers holiday shopping, local cafes for coffee or hot cocoa, Downtown Tampa’s only outdoor ice skating rink, and views from the park. The village will be running from November 20th through January 3rd.
Busch Gardens Christmas Town
Every year, Busch Gardens goes all out and decorates the entire park like a winter wonderland. They offer night time rides, holiday shows, dining and drinking, and a special firework display. You can visit the Christmas Town between November 20th and January 3rd.
Holiday Boat Parades
There are a few different boat parades you can partake in this holiday season. First, the Tampa Riverwalk Lighted Boat Parade is held on December 19th. There is also a Tarpon Springs Boat Parade held on December 4th, and Treasure Island Boat Parade on December 5th.
Christmas Lights
What would the holiday season be like without Christmas lights? There are many light shows being held in Tampa Bay this season. The Pirate Water Taxi holds a river of lights show during the months of November and December, and there is a Christmas Village light show at the Hillsborough County fairgrounds between November 26th-December 27th. The Tampa Riverwalk holds their own holiday spectacular throughout the month of December, with the lit-up tree floating in the harbor.
